Need recommendations....
Have an 01 Vert top is in excellent condition but was caught in the rain this morning (light to med showers) and I got an intermittent drip from where the driver side visor connects. Is there a gasket or something that needs replaced? Could weather stripping in that area need replacing?

You will definitely want to exhaust ALL efforts before resorting to new weatherstripping when you see how much that one piece costs..

That's a new one to me. Are you 1000% sure you had the top latched COMPLETELY shut? Is this the first/only time it has happened? The weather stripping between the top of the windshield and roof is a REALLY tight seal. Now the seal between the CORNER of the windshield/top/window, not so much... Check to make sure it's not leaking from there, but even if it is, it shouldn't cause water to come out of the visor arm hole

The side window weatherstrips sit inside an aluminum extrusion which is adjustable to some extent. Might have .100 of movement in and out to match up with the window. As mentioned above though, that side weatherstrip should not be able to put water where you are talking. That sounds more like the main front/top piece, but still, how it would leak up there I don't know. That weatherstrip does route water down through the center of it, so, you might check right at the intersection of the windshield/window/post and see if that opening is clogged. Perhaps run some water down inside the weatherstrip and see where it comes out. It's supposed to route the water down and out of the car. Maybe yours routes it to the visor now for extra cooling 
I'd also check closely at the top fabric itself. Right in the front where it is exposed to rain, check to see there's no holes where rain can get in. If so, the only thing between you and the water is the headliner, and that ain't gonna get it done.

Not sure if gap where the corner meets all I know as i was driving this morning in a rain shower it began to drop out of the triangle connector the visor arm comes out of and i had to use my sock i had with my gym clothes to wipe it. I did notice the other night at speed i was getting some air through that window. Maybe that is the cause.

If your window is open ever so slightly (or weatherstrip does not fit well enough), in my car at speed, rain will blow straight in the window because there's a high pressure area right there. In mine, it'll shoot right in. Check to see that's not what's happening (don't need rain, just feel for the air). If its blowing right at that visor mast, there might not be a leak in the front, but, water blows over to that thing.
Mine doesn't blow that direction really, it just more or less spits all over the place. But sideways toward the passengers side. It's like no other car I've owned. Crack the drivers window in the rain and it's like somebody's out there with a hose.
I'm guessing it has to do with the low pressure area at the back window, suction there, allowing a lot of air to come in at the front of the cabin.
Of course, you might still have a leaky weatherstrip or top too. I'm just throwing out some guesses from my experience.
