I recently bought a 2000 FRC and bought headers/mid pipe/axle back. I am assuming I will need a tune after that, but one of my friends reccomended throwing an intake on it while im at it before a tune. My question would be which intake to choose from. I saw a Vararam VR-B2 on sale by marylandspeed, not sure if this is the best choice. Any feedback or suggestions on reccomended intake would be appreciated.
Scrolled about 4 threads down and got the info I was looking for looks like zip tie is best bang considering its free, thanks for the reply and reccomendation!

Flip tie method is best for a basic intake upgrade. I am happy with my K&N though. I needed a new intake because my car came with a poor filtering black-wing. Didnt even have a stock box to try the flip tie mod. A true cold air intake like the VR-B2 will give a little more.
Be gentle. I can't speak for Superjet but the OP said his friend recommended an intake but the OP did not specify whether he recommended a CAI or manifold. If the OP thought he meant a CAI then maybe that is why he looked at a Vararam. We did not hear the recommendation from his friend so how are we to know? I, for one, was only suggesting a possible alternative, nothing more. He's got a way to get the air out, his friend was obviously suggesting a way to get the air in. For my money, and a lot of others no doubt, a manifold upgrade would afford more benefit than a CAI. Nevertheless, the OP was asking for feedback or suggestions and that, my friend, is what I gave him: a suggestion. On another note I don't know about you but I am amazed at the number of folks on this forum who have no better way to express their opinion except to be critical and negative of others who express theirs. Thanx for your comments BTW.

Not trying to be critical of you. Just trying to point out that the information needed to clarify is right in the OP.
Thank you for all the feedback, I was talking about cai though, however intake manifold might not be such a bad idea as well to let it breathe. Thank you both Jak FRITZM and everyone else for your input and reccomendations.
