They are of different design/angle just in front of the axles, it's plain to see.
Isn't that a shiny stainless band clamp near the axle on the unit on the right?

At first I thought the boot looked odd, like it wasn't installed correctly or something, but then I realized the wheel and axle is hanging down in the first pic. The second pic with the car on the ground, it looks fine.
I agree with the aberration from a cell phone camera. They tend to distort a bit, due to the nature of the wide-angle lenses used. It looks like the camera is not centered directly between the two in the side-by-side shot and is a bit more to the left.
