Default No Reverse Lockout in 6spd!

When shifting from 4th to 5th I would normally push the stick to the right and up. Well for a while I have had the privileged opportunity to shift all the way towards 6th. Brushing up against the syncros is getting old very fast.

WHAT can I do to solve this?!

I do have an aftermarket shifter on this car. It was one of the few modifications it came with. I know the plate says “Hurst” when pulling up the center console.

Yes!

This is the first I've seen on the exact topic! My 'Search Fu' wasn't working cause I could never find it.

BTW: I love how it says if you can change spark plugs you can do that... cause I just finished changing my spark plugs. (minus the missing gasket)

Thank You Again!

Lol that's ironic! And you are very welcome!

I ended up ordering a brand new solenoid so I could speed up the process. I can't suffer to have a long downtime.

I picked up the following part #12523300.

I believe from the link you posted I can knock this one out without a problem. The only thing I don't see are the torque specifications. Something I'm trying to pay more attention to these days.

I'll look them up tomorrow and let you know. I have the full list of every torque spec in the car.

For future readers, part #12523300 was superseded by #19178634 - so you may not be able to find stock for the old #.
