I am considering pulling the LS6 block from my 2001 Z06 and "expanding" it. From what I've gathered in various places, any bore expansion needs to be sleeved first.
My question is, what is the largest bore/stroke combo that I could safely run when sleeving the LS6 block? Not that I would automatically jump to the largest possible, I'm just trying to get an idea of what my possible options are.

Thanks!
Unless you own a machine shop and can do the work yourself, the price you will pay for sleeves is WAY too much in my opinion. You would be better off buying a used LS7 block, which is a 4.125" bore, if you need to stay with aluminum.
If not, a 6 liter Iron block can be honed to ~ 4.06, and the blocks can be had for cheap.
