Z06 tires question???
Hey guys i have a stock 99 frc with the chrome 97-99 wheels they have 275 on the back and 245 up front i need new tires soon and the place that put my new rim on because one rim got damaged so i had to order a new one was telling me that i could fit the 295 in the rear and the 265 up front on those rims i have is this true i thought that u had to get the z06 rims as well ???? :cheers:

Others have posted that they have squeezed Z06 size tires on to C5 size rims without issue. This may not be the ideal setup, more for show than go. The other issue is the Z06 rear tire is a bit shorter and would make your speedo read a tad higher than real speed. Rims size is no help here. I was all set to replace my 99's tires with Nittos in stock sizes. Full set is only about $650 and they are reported to be quite sticky.

WE use Z06 tires on 99 rims for my wifes autoxing and canyon carving runs--no problems.All the tires are used and buffed down to about tread wear indicators.I only get 350-500 track miles on fronts and 800-1100 on rears then take them off Z and use on her coupe.

Wellmy vette is my daily driver and i want them because i hate the runflats bad for handling and tomuch wheel hop so i dont plan on doing any autocrossing with the car or dragracing other the occasional playing around and taking turns on the highways so would u guys suggest doin the zo6 tires???? :chevy
