GPS Mounting Method
A few members have asked about the Garmin StreetPilot GPS in the car. Here's a close-up shot of the unit and the trim details. The unit is mounted on a velcro pad into the ash tray cavity and can be removed for use in our other vehicles. The wiring to external antenna (velcro mounted on the drivers side dash under the windshield) and the vehicle accessory power is routed behind the unit through the ashtray cavity.
Thanks to Daniel, the unit is leather trimmed to hide the velcro base and the cavity.
