Well heres the story.......I noticed my trans temps were to high so I come to find out my TC (Yank SS3200 and RPM Level 6 trans) is not locking up. My shop puts a Tech 2 on the car and goes for a drive. He commands the TC to lock up and it does and my temps went down below 200. So this makes me believe it's in my tune.
I saw my tuner yesterday at a track event and he said that my tune is fine and that he has the TC locking up in 4th at 45mph or so. He went and checked my tune again and saw that there were some limits in the tune that should have been lifted. He changed them to hopefully correct the problem but the TC is still not locking up. Car drives perfect otherwise, just can't seem to find this little Ghost of a problem.
I am really hoping that someone out there has had this happen or has knowledge to what it could be.

Thanks for any and all help with this.
What is your MPG in town and MPG on the highway avg for each one...If that thing is not locking up your mpg is crap. Robert
Check the brake light switch. The converter unlocks any time the brakes are on.Could be misadjusted.
But more likely, if the engine detects misfires, which it will if you have a stall converter, it won't let the converter lock, or at least stay locked.
Have your tuner check. I simply told mine to ignore misfires, and it has locked 100% reliably ever since. The change is made in the Engine Diagnostics under miss-fire detection.
You really didn't notice it wasn't locking other than trans temps? It's a rather obvious thing to feel and see on the tach.
