I have been researching the forum about increasing HP on my stock 97 vette. I've concluded that its very expensive. Please help with the following questions:
1. Is nitrous safe on the engine and non-damaging if used on a safe level (75 HP I've heard) I'm weekend driver only.
2. Is nitrous the least expensive kind if HP gain?
3. If yes to the above questions, where is the best place to buy a kit as well as the best brand?
Thank you for your responses

Yes, Nitrous is VERY SAFE done CORRECTLY. The safest setups are WET systems. For very low HP shots, a DRY system is OK. The thing that kills an engine with ANY forced induction (which is what Nitrous is, just like a turbo or a supercharger) is running LEAN (too much Oxygen and not enough fuel). The wet systems spray not only NO2 but fuel too. The dry systems only spray NO2 so it's up to you to make sure your system can add the correct additional fuel when the extra O2 is introduced. For low HP shots, most modern cars can sense the additional air and spray more fuel to the limits of the injectors.
