Default Nitrous question

I have a 98 c5 a4. Mods include vararam, ls6 intake, 80mm bbk tb, long tube ceramic coated headers, no cats, magnaflow system, nitto 555r's. Has been tuned by thunderracing in baton rouge.
I just bought a zex dry system (#82011). Only plan on going as high as 75shot. The system is a complete bolt-on and is ready to go.

Do i have to change the plugs? (they were just changed less then 200 miles ago, went with ac delco)

Do i tap the air intake or can i buy a plate?

Do i need it re-tuned?

Is this system really a plug and play system? If not what else do i need?

you did not note injector upgrade with your mods. Your fuel comes from the stock injector.
A dry system must inject nitrous in front of the MAF (a plate at the TB is no good for a dry setup).
The MAF will think the temps have dropped and the computer will go rich-this is good.
If your injectors can't supply enough fuel your motor is done.
A 98 computer is slower than later models this might create a lean condition at first if the injectors are ok.

a 75 shot is the most I would try with your setup. Dry systems can require more tuning time to run big shots.
Your first shot should be on a dyno with the bottle at temp/pressure 950-1000. The tuner will have to watch the fuel ratio and do small pulls not to toast your motor. They will also pull a little timing.

Plugs should be one size cooler NGK TR6 are good.

I looked at the 82011 kit this does not look like the right kit for a corvette.
The fuel enrichment circuit is not compatable with a 98 vette.

Someone please confirm!

Well, I bought the kit from a forum member for $300 shipped. Its brand new, so if I have to buy a few other parts to make it work not that big of a deal.....If someone could tell me what i will need that would help big time. Im no stranger to mechanics, but know very very little of nitrous systems. Just want to add a few more hp ya know?

The 98's have 28lb injectors and the return style fuel rail system which will support more HP than the later year 26lb injectors and single line fuel supply. I think alot of people would tell you that up to a 100 shot you're OK.

I wouldn't run juice at all in my car unless I knew exactly what what going on..that involves getting a tuner involved.

Just my $.02

What the old line about nitrious..."It's like a hot girl with VD. You'd love to hit it but are afraid of what might happen if you did"
