Default Wrong MAF?

While installing my vararam intake system today I went ahead and installed the 5 pin MAF I bought from a forum member, the P/N on this maf is 3409984. I bought a adapter from Racetronics, P/N MAF-001. Problems arose when i tried to plug the cable into the maf, the cable is to wide to plug into the maf. Which one is the incorrect part? Thanks

MAF-001 - MAF Adapter 3-Wire + IAT > 5-Wire GT150

This adapter harness allows for plug and play installation of a late-model GM / Delphi 5-wire MAF using the wide-spaced GT150 Series connector (2006+ Z06 Corvette) in a 3-wire MAF car. (98-02 LS1 Camaro / Firebird). The air temperature sensor (IAT / ATS) connector uses the standard Delphi Metri-Pack 150 Series connector found on the majority of GM vehicles.

Ok, here's what's weird. The connector (plug) for a 2001 corvette, and a 2006 corvette, are the same part number.....15305555(delphi). The part number MAF you have, is for a 2001 Z06. So something is not right with the harness.
