performance progression?

performance progression?
With a very stock engine as in the 1998 Corvette, what would be the logical progression or where would be a good place to make modifications that I can build upon.
With a Euro machine that I own I have the "chip" or computer tune that I believe is based on the HP tuners and that essentially changes the turbo boost and works quite well on that car but on a normally aspirated engine such as the Vette, I'm quite lost.
I don't feel the need for lots of horsepower but a few more than the stock, (is it 345hp), would be nice, say around 380 or so?

If you want more than that it depends on how much more you want and what your budget is.
