Blown Trans...Diff....
Need Some Good Advice,,,Just bought .99 Frc..fun car..just blew my diff and trans,, need advice on replacement...My engine has around 440 rwhp. and had 410 gears.. diff had gears replaced only guess stock cant handle that power so here's my prob. how much is enough...do I need a dte stage 5 with rpm's Transilla...or is stock really ok,, just one of those one in a million things ? So do I just need a mildly built diff. and stock trans..Hit me up with your Knowledge..Thanx Randall...If u happen to have either a trans or diff that will work call me... or if you want to talk about how to fix my car issues... 360-391-4367

At 440rwhp I'm surprised that you broke anything. I've seen a lot of stock cars at and aboce that power level on stock drivelines. Did it wheel hop? I don't think going with an extreme build is necessary at that power unless you are going to be beating the living hell out of it 24 hours a day.
Also, how did you break them both at the same time? Are you sure it isn't one or the other, and not both?

Yeah did a nice wheelhop then nothing,,, I had lots of fun with this car during that short 3 weeks,, and drivetrain felt solid..really suprised me..dealership said same..thanx for response..dont want to spend money that's not necessary..

Has anyone tried Dragvette's rear end? They're offered with either a posi or spool, and they claim the posi build will handle up to 650hp. They're also making their own 30-spline inner axles they claim are stronger than Tom's.
