Default Trans tunnel plate dimensions?

Hey guys,

Can anyone tell me the dimensions of the C5 tunnel plate? Width and Length is what I need so the I can purchase a piece of aluminum. Sure I can jack her up and measure myself and I will if I have to but if someone knows off-hand it would sure save me some time and trouble.

Thanks!

Just went out and measured my left over stock one in the garage for you. (Replaced it with a C6 Plate).
It is 42.5" long and 12.5" wide at the widest section in the rear.

Thanks for the measurements!
I'll pick up a bar of 3/8" or 5/16". I have plenty of thermal barrier products as well.
Anyone want a How-to done as I make the piece?

I used 3/8" and it makes a huge difference!!! Remember to pick up longer bolts for the install.

I did the same thing a several years ago. I got an AutoCAD drawing of the plate from someone on this forum that I used. Unfortunately I've since deleted it, but try the search function and see if you can find it.
