I am wondering if anyone else notices that when you let out the clutch to move I feel a little shall I say shudder its only for a second then goes away but it does it every single time. I have drove a manual for a long time as I thought it might be driver error but I feel that I can drive well enough. My car is an 01 coupe. Can anyone shed any light on this ?? Should I have the clutch replaced? It doesnt slip and the pedal seems fine. Thanks for everyones time

I always thought this was caused by people revving the engine in order to let the clutch out (getting it way too hot), usually in traffic. From that day forward, it hammers any time they let the clutch out. I don't know if the springs in the clutch have the temper taken out of them, talking about the ones that take up torque. If you pull the clutch plate, you'll probably find they are compressed and no longer really taking up the torque.
I usually saw that when someone owned a 4cyl car and the thing had no torque. V8's I never raise above idle to let a clutch out. I've ridden with some though who think 2 grand is about right for typical driving... Those clutches act like you describe.
MY clutch felt a little grabby or not very smooth. I change the fluid, it was some what discolored and appeared to have a little moisture on the surface. I sucked it out replaced it a couple of times until it stayed clear and it made a big difference. You can search the forum about it. They call it the ranger method on the forum.
