I want to install a G Force Performance Chip on my 2002 Vette. The G Force chip is designed to increase horse power and torgue. It plugs into the IAT sensor and reprograms the ECU. Does it work?
Is it simple to install?

Been around corvettes and on this forum for years. The fact that I have never heard of this product before should speak volumes.
Look into diablosport or perhaps a mail order tune from ECS if you don't want to learn to tun yourself.
Thats just an ebay garbage mod. All it is, is a resistor that tricks the iat sensor into thinking its seeing lower temps therefore it doesnt pull any timing with higher intake temps. This can damage your car as you can get detonation from too much timing and hot air coming in the intake. Stay away and save your money. Dont waste it on any tuner type stuff either. Once you do real mods, full exhaust, intake, heads, cam, then look for a shop with a reputable tuner to mess with the cars parameters. Or else youre wasting money.
OP, the chip fad went out with the C4's. Also, put some thought into it, a $69 mod won't even register on the butt dyno and your c5 deserves way more respect.
What I do not understand is why this is being advertised on this forum???
The ads that show up on the forum are not 100% controlled by the site itself. Most websites subscribe to outside sources and the ads are placed by the outside vendor (think Google Adsense). You sign up for Google Adsense and then Google picks out the ads that they think are relevant. That's the only way this ad could appear here.
Oh yeah, manuelw, the consensus is No, they do not work. Please don't waste your $$$. We care about ya, so keep asking those questions. That's what the forum is for.... to learn. Heck, one time, I asked about a 12v "supercharger" that made those ridiculous claims as well. <face-palm> I knew better but had one of those senior moments.
