HUD problem
Hey guys,
I have a 2001 vette and for some reason my HUD ( Heads up Display ) isn't working anymore. I called the dealer and they said its like $1000 just to fix it, so I was wondering if maybe it's not broken, maybe it's hiding from me? The weird thing is that sometimes, usually when I'm leaving a driveway where my car becomes tilted forward, I see it..but it's messy and not very clear.
I was wondering if anyone knew a way to test if it's actually broken.

The common problem with them is they fall. If you look down thru the top of the windshield and see it, then it is a tab broken and there is a diy thread to fix that. Mine just quit working altogether, so I ended up repl the HUD unit itself. Not a bad diy, but it does takes some time. I would recommend diy route and blowing the money you save for something cool.
