Help in understanding the following post from the performance section, please
"fast 90mm intake & 90mm tb, LT's & ORX (dumped for the track), 25% ud pulley, electric wp, circle D 5C converter, 342 gears, TMR tune
estimated rw of 3100"
These bolt on items just took a C5 coupe to under 11 seconds at the track per a recent post in the performance section.
1. When someone says c5 coupe is that an LT1 (not a Z06 which would have been referred to as C5 FRC)?

C5 coupe is not a Z06 or a FRC. Both those bodies have the notch back window instead of the large bath tub window. All the C5s come with an LS1 engine except the Z06 which has the LS6.
2. What are LT's?
These are long tube headers, they are illegal for street use in many areas.
3. What is an ORX?
This is the remainder of the exhaust system and it appears this has cutouts that allow the muffler to be bypassed for less back pressure.
He also has a high stall converter, upgraded 3.42 lower gearing. Under drive pully to free up a few more HP along with an electric water pump.
Thanks to both of you. I knew in my heart it was an L"S"1 (just like mine) but seeing the LT's listed, I just typed LT1 instead. I'm getting really good at that. septagenarian sam
The Most important item that you are overlooking is the 5C Converter-----
Which I assume he means 5000 RPM stall !!!!!!!!!!! ( should be 5M ) ??
This is NOT street drivable----- and the only way a N/A eng would ever get close to 11 seconds or under---
5000 stalls are race only -- great for the track--on the street they would overheat in 15 minutes of driving and shifting around town
Why don't you guys just go there and ask him?
He hit 123+ last night as well. I believe he does drive it on the street. Street driveable is an opinion. My way of saying you can drive anything on the street, just depends on what you are willing to put up with.
He also locks the converter in high gear at the track.
At 3100lbs, the car is very light! Probably 300+ lbs lighter than most if not all standard C5 coupes.
He also runs these numbers in density altitude conditions where the air is 1000ft below seal level. That makes quite a lot of difference.
It is very optimized for sure, and he has been at it for quite a while and has tried many different parts to get to this point. He recently added 3.90 gears.
My car would be solidly in the tens at that weight and those conditions. But where I live, we rarely see density altude below 1000ft, much less negative.
