I have a '99 6-speed vert that I've owned for a little over 2 years. About a week ago, I started getting a check engine light, for code
P0803 "1-4 Upshift (skip shift) solonoid control circuit". When I clear the code, it will show back up at random times and in random circumstances. Sometimes the light shows up right after starting the car, other times when I'm cruising in 4th, 5th or 6th gear 2-3 days later. I'm 99.9% sure that the bypass kit was installed by the previous owner. Any ideas on what's going on? Help!
Yep, the resistor is fried, I fixed mine with a .50 resistor. Just dissect the old one, unsolder the resistor but a new BIGGER (higher wattage) one in and silicone it over.
