Just got a set of Eradispeeds from Shawn at LAPD, great price and service as usual. Thinking of using the Delco ceramic pads. Anybody have any experience with this combo. Don't want to blue spot the rotors etc. from heat. Don't race the car so repeated high speed braking is not an issue. Thx for any input.
I use EradiSpeeds with Raybestos QS ceramics on the street. They work well for daily driving and produce almost no dust :D
As far what they will do to the looks of the rotors I am the wrong guy to ask. I run mine on the track with Hawk HP Plus pads, so they are burnt badly and showing surface cracks. The silver zinc coating is also melted off. :smash: But they are still not warped.
For normal street driving I think you be pleased with ceramic pads.
Shawn set me up with the Baer Enhanced rotors recently. I installed them and kept my 1 year old (approx 7K miles) GM ceramics. Initially I had a squeal from one wheel, but I think I've got that licked now.
Like you, I don't race the car at all. The worst my brakes see is deceleration from 30+ over the limit from time to time. It's only been a few hundred miles, but I don't have any discoloring or other unpleasantries.
As far as the ceramic pads with Baer or stock rotors, they are great. Very little dusting and decent stopping power. Just make sure your braking system is bled well. For the first year I had the ceramics, I thought they sucked. I really had to jam on the pedal to stop. After a complete fluid flush, they have about the same feel as my neighbors stock vert.
