I was wondering if anyone knows how to remedy this issue... My turn signal only works some of the time. It doesn't come on at all. Sometimes if I turn the hazards on and off they start to work again. Is the turn signal bad, or is it an easier fix? Any input will be helpful. Thanks.
a known problem with the hazard switch. It needs to be replaced. Read Bill Curlee's post at the top of the tech section. There are easy step by step instructions on how to do it. Not hard but plan on at least an hour or two to get it done.
I just replaced my hazard switch, and the problem is solved.
It did take me about an hour and a half to get done, but the part was
only $39. This was the first time I took any of the interior parts out, so
I took my time. If I had to do it again I could probably get it done in
under an hour. There is a thread somewhere with step by step instructions and pics but I can't find it to put a link to it.

A somewhat overlooked problem with turn signals is when a bit of rust or corrosion forms on the contacts in the light socket. Can be front or rear, and that'll also cause a signal to work only when it's in the mood. It's something you'd think would fail all the time, but in practice, it doesn't work that way. And while you can clean the contacts and get it to work for a while, I'd say it's best to just replace the sockets and eliminate the cause for the trouble (water leak usually). Once they have gunk form on em, they're easy to mess up again.
