Years ago, I would install two cut-off switches to protect my 60-70’s Corvettes from theft. Both switches were “hidden” under the dash – one would break the connection of the wire from the distributor to the coil, and the other would break the connection of the wire that led from the battery to my in-line Holley fuel pump.
I would like to add at least one of these protective type switches to my C5. I have searched this forum (probably improperly) and have not found what I am seeking. Anyone out there willing to share their elegant theft deterrent installs?
Install a switch in line to either wire of the theft deterrant relay coil, the car cannot start without this relay energized, it's located over the body computer behind the glove box. In the diagram either break yellow wire 269 from C2 to the transmission interlock switch or break yellow/black wire 625 from B7/C3 to A1. http://forums.corvetteforum.com/c5-t...not-start.html
