Help, Service Vehicle Soon Light
I just starting getting a Service Vehicle Soon light when starting my vehicle (2002 Z06) and an intermittent Charging System Fault error. This has happened on 4 separate starts today, once reset it does not come back until the car has been turned off/back on again. Broke out the multimeter and the battery (2 years old) has 12.54V when turned off and 13.94 when running with the blower motor on high. Seemed a little low but it shows the alternator is doing something, right?
Cleared the DIC and the new codes are:
P1637H - Generator L - Terminal Circuit
B0338HC - Inside Air Temp Sensor Open
B0361H Left Actuator Feedback Short to GND
B0441H Left Actuator Out of Range
I'm thinking that first one is the only one that could be related to my issue. As far as causes for P1637, I've seen (in my searching) everything from:
Bad alternator
Incorrectly attached ground wire
Bad alternator cable (the 3 prong one that slips into the top).
Any thoughts here? More importantly, can I even feel confident taking this out and not worrying about it not starting back up?
Any help appreciated!
