Just got my vette back from the shop (they replaced the converter pipes at the mufflers). I have the stock exhaust with 4 tips. Noticed today that the left 2 tips are about an inch higher and actually touching the rear bumper, while the right 2 tips are about normal. Can I fix this myself?
Probably but why not take it back to the shop and make them get it right
You said you were stock which means from in front of the rear axle back it is all welded together making it a little harder to adjust than a replacement bolted on system.
Each stock muffler has a bracket that sticks out (pointing to the back I think) that goes into a rubber bushing and this is what holds the muffler in place (and more or less positions it) at the back. You probably would have to play around with that attachment and drop it a little and pull the high side muffler and exhaust down ( shims :yesnod: maybe).
Good luck (remember jack stands) and be careful with the prying since I am not sure how all those welds will hold up
It is amazing that your car was allowed to leave the shop like that. It makes you wonder, if anyone even looks at a car when a job is complete. Take it back and make them fix it.
