Tranny fluid (flush/filter change?)
I did a forum search and read about 30 threads about fluid changes. Thanks for everyone who posted.
My buddy said that changing tranny fluid will leave plenty of the fluid in the tranny and only a flush will remove all the old fluid and related material.
I never see any posts about flushing it nor do I see any posts about removing the pan and filter. My '97 was a daily driver until a couple months ago but it is now a once-a-week-driver and it has 115,000 miles on it. I want to just do what makes sense in the long run so I can put this issue on the back burner.
Also, does it make sense to replace the differential fluid at the same time?
Thanks for the replies.

And a flush is needed to get the fluid out of the converter and any other areas that old fluid can sit. Im not sure how this is done, but a flush is a better route. I paid $175 for a fluid and filter change in both the tranny and diff. Pretty cheap if you go to a transmission specialist and not the stealership. Id just take it in.
