Default Funky noise after spring/shock install

All seemed to be running well and much tighter like I wanted until I began hitting some bumps at speed...like 30-40mph and I get a little wheel flutter. At the same time I get some klunking noises. If I had to guess I'd say it's the spring flopping around a little ? Is it possible to install one too loose or have I missed something else ? Sounds like its at the drivers foot.

Double check the bolts on the spring brackets and the lower shock mounts.

Also tighten sway bar end links.

Did you go with used leaf springs? Sometimes the pad on the adjustment bolts can wear out and cause noises.

Thanks guys. I put it up on my ramps again and double checked the sway links the ball joints and the shock bolts. Can the top bolts be too loose on the shocks ? I tightened them as many turns as the ones I pulled out were. I wonder if I didn't adjust the spring adjusters far enough out....they were pretty much bottomed out when I installed it.

These were very low mileage z51 springs and shocks. Much better than my OE. The car feels very tight and responsive. I was very surprised when I heard the clunking/rattling because it seemed like such an easy upgrade. I missed something. I thought if I left the adjusters bottomed out I would lower the front end a little . Bad idea ?

The first places I would look are the sway bar end links and then look at the sway bar bushings. The links can cause a bad banging.

The upper shock nuts should be pretty tight. I don't recall if they bottom but they should at least be compressing the bushing pretty good. Lots of times the upper nut on a shock like that is turned down until it bottoms on the end of the threads.
