I've been installing a power antenna using the directions on FRC website. I tapped the orange
wire under the passenger floorpanel and got voltage from it before my install. Now, with all the
hookups complete, my antenna is not doing anything. I tapped the same orange wire again, and
NOTHING! Is it possible I blew a fuse or shorted something out during install? If so, what fuse would it be?
I am so frustrated, I am at my wits end! I've spent hours on this, in a hot, 100 degree garage. Someone please.... :cry
I can only say that I feel for you out there in your garage. Until early last year, I was in Peoria and the garage is no place to be in the summer. Heck, even here in Dallas I was out in the garage on Saturday putting in the aluminum bezel kit...it was awful (the heat, not the install) but I'm sure there's no comparison.
Where are you? I was off 84th Ave and Bell Road.
Good luck, and I'm sure you'll get the help you need.

Re: Power antenna install....HELP (EB02six)
I would suggest you double check your ground connection after you verify there are no blown fuses. That is what the problem with my install was a few months ago.
Thanks everyone. I finally figured out the problem, and got it to work. The #7 fuse was blown,
but even after I replaced it, I still wasn't getting any juice. The glove box light and underhood light
are apparently on the same circuit. After letting the car sit a while, I guess it "reset" itself, and this time when I
turned the key, the lights began functioning as normal, and I had juice to the orange wire. I wasn't able to rig the antenna
so it goes on with the radio, however. I have it coming on when ignition goes to the on position.
If anyone knows a wire on the passenger side of the car that will raise the antenna from radio on signal, let
me know.
