Default Tire question?

So, I bought a new set of rims, My tires on the wagons are pretty new. I had them put on at Firestone. So, I called them to see if they would take the tires off and put on the new rims, they said that they would not do that service because of the possibilty of messing up the bead?
Is that true? I know a lot of you guys have a lot more experience in this than I do, and the forum is a great place for answers.
Thanks for any imput here.

Find another shop. They don't know what they are doing or just don't want your business.

I have mounted and dismounted a lot of Corvette tires (some EMT's) and never had a problem. Yes, they are stiff and a little bit harder to do, but I didn't damage any of them.

Allot of shops won't do used tires now. Its a liability to them as to many retards have taken in bad tires, had them mounted, and blamed the shop for the bad tire(s). And the customer always wins in a lawsuit.
Its a PITA because I like taking in tires and sometimes they are used too. But now its becoming harder to do that.

The thing is, they put the tires on new for me? Guess they don't trust their own work.

I couldn't even find a local shop to put a patch in a runflat.

No one wants to do anything anymore and when they do something they don't want to be responsible for their actions.

Just sell new and collect the money.

It is a disposable world these days. Minimum effort.
