It's been a few days since I've had the car apart and I'm Jonesin'. I have the TTS headers and think I'm at about the end of the rope with them. I think I need to step up in header size. I just changed heads and cam last week and am already figuring out what to do next. I have piston to valve clearance issues so it looks like I'll have to take the heads off again to put in the 229 - 112 cam I have ordered. I have some LS6 heads that I think I'll have ported and swap them at the same time. I'm sure that I'll need or be on the verge of needing bigger headers then. Has anyone tried the BPP headers? I'd put on the LGM headers but being a Breathless dealer I can obviously get them a lot cheaper. Just looking for some feed back.

Andy,
why are you having piston to valve clearance on a 229 cam? Is that a single pattern cam? Have the heads been milled? Seems to me even if the heads were milled .030 you should have no problems.
thanks
The heads are milled .040 and the valves are fairly high on the seats to add even more compression. My chambers are only about 60CC or so. I'm going to pull the heads off anyway and flycut the pistons. I really want to try the 229 - 112. The 112 will be even tighter on clearance.

Andy, if you do switch headers, do you think you could do a dyno before and after? I am very interested to see how much peak rwhp you will pick up when moving up to a larger diameter header. I have the TTS on my car with the 436ci (480rwhp/495rwtq) and I want to have an idea how much more power I would be looking at if I went to a 1 3/4", or stepped 1 3/4" - 1 7/8" header.
Actually, I thought of you. I was wondering who was making the most power with the TTS and if they thought at that level if they were hurting. I'm going to need a separate credit card just for dyno time if I run it after every head , cam or header change. But, yes I think I will. I'd be curious myself.

Thanks Andy!! I am VERY interested to see how larger diameter headers effect the torque and hp curve of an agressive head/cam engine. I really do have this feeling that the extra diameter isnt going to give the big peak gains that everyone thinks. I am guessing 10rwhp at most on my car, and I bet I lose 20-30rwtq at 2000-3500rpm..
