Default Tire pressure sending units

All,

I have a chance to buy a nice set of stock C5 aluminum wheels with mounted aftermarket run flats at a good price. My original N73 mag wheels on my '99 are starting to look pretty ratty with all the curb rash and such. I actually prefer to replace them with the stock/OEM's.

However, I do not believe that the Aluminum wheels I have located have the Tire Pressure Sending Units in place. My question is, what will I have to contend with if I install the replacement wheels and tires with out the TPS units...a plethora of codes, limited to 20 mph, no headlights, etc? What surprises did the Corvette engineers hide in store for me?

Thanks, and Merry Christmas.
Regards to all,

Gunny John

Been driving the vette for years without TPS. Just reset the message on the display after start-up or get used to it and do nothing.

If the wheels have tpms sensors why not just reprogram them or move them from your wheels?
