Unless some of the connections in the electrical plugs are corroded, I can't imagine what would make your receiver do that. I'm glad you got it resolved, and yea, after 8 years, I would not feel too bad about replacing those old ones early. They might have been fine, but they might have been on borrowed time too. Never know.
For those who have been following this thread this is what happened. I receievd four brand new date 2012 AC Delco sensors. Tried to program before installing. NOTHING. So aT THIS POINT i GUESS THAT THE RECIEVER HAS TO BE BAD EVEN THOUGH THE fob IS WORKING.
Since I was going to buy a new reciever anyway I took out the old one. Took it apart sprayed with contact cleaner and blew off with air and let dry. Re-installed it. Took me two minutes to program the sensors. Contacts looked clean and I cannot explain it but everything is working. Mounted the senors on wheel and after a few mile all read identical pressure of 30 PSI. It was the reciever all along and I probably did not need new sensors to begin with but they were 8 years old so what the heck. will be shipping back the ones I bought on e-nbay their date code was 09 anway and one was definitly not working. Live and learn.
Thanks for all the input.
I have a 2003 VERT with original tires and TPMS. I am going to replace the tires in the spring and I just purchased 4 TPM sensors (AC DELCO 25773946) and 4 TPMS nuts (AC DELCO 15234846). Where do you find the date code for the sensors? These things each come in an AC DELCO plastic bag and I don't see any dates on the plastic bag or on the unit itself. Is there some kind of code which gives me the date of manufacture? How do I figure out if the sensors I purchased are recently manuifactured or not. The plastic bag each sensor comes in indicates the sensors were manufactured in the UK. There are lots of long numbers on the unit itself, but nothing that looks like a date and the only numbers on the plastic bag that might be a date reads 12313. Also, shouldn't the TPM sensors come with some type of rubber o-ring? How do these sensors seal up to the rims so there is no air leak.
Thanks

The date should be on the unit itself, a circle with an arrow inside it. The number inside the circle is the year and the arrow points to the month.
The sensor seals to the rim with a little rubber gasket which should come with the sensor.

Yours must be an 01-04, the sensors were different and the date code gizmo is a lot smaller. Well, so it the whole sensor. I have a set of those at work, and they have that same type of symbol, you are right, it's pretty small.
