Trans cooler is a easy do it your self job. Oil cooler is more of a challenge. Open the top line out of your radiator and spice in two tubbing adapter fitting to pipe thread. Go with AN and stainless to the cooler mounted in front of radiator. ( mine are in the nose in the fog lite cut out, harder to do). You can go with high temp oil hose but not as pretty and reliable. I have not seen a kit for the C5.
It comes with all the hardware. You can mount it on your condensor, radiator, or use the brackets to put it anywhere else. It has self tapping screws and bolts. This kit covers all possiblities for mounting positions.
Just as an FYI, one item on my TODO list has continued to slip to the bottom, installing a tranny cooler. I do run a 160 thermostat, fans turn on somewhat lower, and cruise ECT is around 180 or so here in the Dallas heat. W/o a cooler my tranny temps are around 180-190, highest peaks I've seen are ~215 under hard driving. I hope to get around to installing one Real Soon Now though.
All, if you are not seeing sustained temps over 200, another option is a deeper pan which will bring down the temps without changing plumbing.
If you are road racing your Vette I would suggest it. MikeV
Ditto on Pep Boys and maybe try the Red line or Amsoil product. The cooler will only work at hi-way speed and a bit if racing. In stand still traffic its useless as any oil cooler.Dave
I had the Fluidyne GM parts performance trannie cooler and it does not work well at all. Having the pump push through about 25 feet of small hose is really dumb plus when the car comes to a stop that is when the heat really comes up within MN6 and the cooler is getting no air at standstill,
I like this design, fan controlled and same cooler is used for trannie and transaxle.

Clean set up Fast Z06. Is the line stainless or is it clamped on hose? I like the fan, on my Trans Am I had stacked a B&M cooler on top of the fluiddyne with a fan. I pulled air off the ground under where the battery used to be.
I had JR build me one and he used braided hose with A/N fittings.
This weekend it was 90 degree weather and I tried all weekend and could not get the dreaded hot trannie light to come on so the system is working real well when after hard llong load and then coming to a stop the temperature stayed at 190 and once it was cool enough the cooler shuts sown.
