Fixing A/C in the winter? Charge?
Now I bought all the equipment to vacuum/charge the AC. I know I will need 2lbs of freon so could I just toss those 2 cans in and be good?
I was planning on heating my garage up for so its like 75*+ to help.
Good idea or should I wait until the summer? I would just like to hook it up and be done with it, especially bc I plan on listing the car for sale so I would like working A/C
Thanks for any input.
Also does anyone have a pressure chart for C5's?

You can also google up the info for charging the A/C. There's charts online that will get you every bit as close as weighing cans. Personally, I don't think I'd weigh the charge, but that's just me. I don't know why, but mine didn't come up to pressure when I tried to do it with the weight method. I had to add more. Maybe not all of the 134 was getting in the system. In any case, I needed slightly more to get mine right, and testing the system showed it to be a fact. It wasnt' as cold till more was added.
Stick in a can of Ice32 also. Works wonders for the a/c. I think 1 oz is enough.

After looking at your profile, I see you've got an 01. I'm not certain but I think your system takes a few oz more than my 98. I'll still post the chart tomorrow, but you should probably get the info on the inner fender of your car to be sure you have the proper amount on hand before you begin.

Awesome, the car is a 2000 btw. I will be charging by watching the gauges. I just figure the pressures will not be 100% bc of the cold weather.

In any case, here's a link to a chart. Also has the procedure for ya.
