Default LED Switchbacks

Ok. I read quite a bit but maybe I am thick and still confused. JW offers them. They say same ones for years. Corvette mods says theirs are newer ones. They say when flashing for signals they flash amber only not amber to white back and forth??? Both good companies and I will not buy from the auctions. Like to support our sponsors.

Any one with experience, input anything?? thanks

Mine from JMW are amber for DRL and white with the headlights. The white turns off and the amber flashes with the signal. These new ones apparently keep the white off the whole time the signal is working. Likely some kind of time delay on the white being turned on. I personally kind of like the white to amber flashing instead of the housing going dark between flashes but I'd have to see these new ones in person to really know.

Try this youtube video. I didn't watch it but it says it shows the Corvette Mod version.

I got mine from Radioflyer with the hyperflash harness, now JWM has the hyperflash harness or just the resistors. Either way if you replace your bulbs with LED you will get hyperflash unless you put in a resistor. I just saw that RadioFlyer has a sale on the harness.

Thanks for the heads up. I do not like the idea of the resistors and already ordered the harness for the sale price plus shipping. Just not sure which bulbs.

Go with the Gen 2's, the Gen 1's are antiques and belong at the roadshow

Correct we've only offered the same reliable version for years now. Tested and proven to work for the C5. No need to switch when you find something that works.

We don't even have to advertise them they sell themselves now

I just put LED's switchbacks in my 04 with 39K miles and the sockets were brittle and scorched from the heat of the DRL's which are always on unless you have disabled them. One socket cracked a little putting the new LED bulb in. You may wind up having to buy new DRL/blinker socket for each side. I was lucky they worked just fine but I did really have to push hard on them to get them to seat in the sockets. An older car with more miles (DRL's on longer than mine) may have issues with this. I actually bought the LED's because they burn cooler to avoid having the replace the sockets and one of my blinkers would not work sometimes so I may have to replace one of the sockets anyway if it acts up again.

Thanks for the orders guys! Don't get left in the dark with the Gen 1's! New technology is great or we'd all still be using analog cell phones !
