1) diff fluid flush
2) tranny fluid flush (M6)
3) New fuel filter
4) GM injector cleaning (high pressure lines hooked up to fuel rails)
5) coolant flush
In the near future I'm going to do:
6) spark plugs (NGK TR55's at 0.055)
7) brake fluid flush (along with DRM stainless steel caliper pistons, and possibly stainless steel brake lines)
Anything else I ought to do?
Thanks,
Miles
The transmission fluid change seemed to have improved shifting, BTW.
Re: Maintenance at 50,000 miles? (Miles in Michigan)
Oops, forgot I got a power steering fluid flush, too. I don't know if it was necessary, but I wanted all the other stuff done, and the mechanic recommended the PS fluid, too.
Anything else I should worry about? Hydraulic clutch fluid maybe?
I think it is time for a new engine, maybe a 427 ;)
Yeah, to be on the safe side for routine maintenance I should really get a stroker crank, forged pistons, and a C5R block, but it's too much money.
I'm sure the camshaft and valve springs are worn down by now though. :) I'm looking at getting a Thunder Racing TR224, or MTI Hammer cam, with Comp 918 springs. Gotta get long tube headers too, because the stock exhaust manifolds are most likely clogged up, too. :p: Then that darn nylon intake manifold tends to melt, so I gotta get a LS6 intake manifold :)
Too bad I can't find a place nearby to do the install. :(
