What is tach module?
Hiya
My car crapped out me the other day so I had to take it to get fixed. Today they called me and told me they had to order a "tach module". What is that and why would it break on a car with 900 miles? Does anyone know? Thanks!

It's actually the TAC module - Throttle Actuation Control.
The C5's gas pedal is not connected to the throttle with a cable, it's all
electronic. There are several items that are connected to, and controlled by,
the TAC module.
Although most of the modules are inside the car, the TAC module is actually
outside the car, under the passenger fender, so it is more exposed to the
elements.
