We had a bad storm and got like 3 inches of ran an hour overnight and when I went to go to work next morning I found the floor boards was sopping wet and the car wont crank. The dash lights up normal but nothing else. The radio dont light up but it will eject a CD. the heater/A/C works but no windows or doorlocks and the hatch wont open but the seats work. Not sure how much water got in it but does it sound like maybe the BCM got ruined? Any suggestions would help before I spend that kind of money on a BCM.
immediately pull the battery and break out some space heaters or something to dry it out. try again and/or start tracking down pretty much everything from battery -> fuse -> component.
Get your insurance company involved...You may have some serious long term issues.
i had to erase my original response which was "that sounds like a lot of cars I've seen at auctions from insurance company flood claims.." but I figured I'd be more optimistic. What sometimes happens is what happened to you, a shop gets it, they're like "yea we could possibly fix it with $2500 of labor just to diagnose it, then parts, then labor to install parts.." and insurance companies total it out.
