I have an 02 coupe and the drivers seat bolster and padding is becoming uncomfortable....I have a tear along the bolster but the leather is in good shape otherwise. Is it worth it to have the seat redone or should I invest in another seat??? The passenger seat is perfect as I rarely have a passenger. Thanks for the input!!!
Check out Leatherseats.com. Go to the gallery section and look at some of the videos they have for Chevrolet. They make some nice looking seat covers and you can get them in various leather/vinyl configurations. They told me they also have OEM seat foam available. You also might want to reinforce the new seat foam with support kit from J.W. Motoring.com.
I have had some repairs done to my drivers seat but I think I will have a local interior shop replace the foam/seat cover this fall.
Definitely repair.. easy as falling off a log. Buy replacement foam (Vette essentials) and some new kick a** skins from e bay and remove seat and go at her. Really nothing to it or if you are not much of a DIY bring the whole assembly to your local upholstry shop and let them have the fun. Beats the heck outta trying some silly retrofit install that no one but yourself appreciate. Greetings, Rob
