Yes, I tried to use the search feature but as usual, nothing. I need a new serp belt. I might as replace both right now. Can someone tell me the part numbers for them? Ac Delco I imagine or are there other better brands?
I did and didnt come up with an actual packaging number. Theres one for sale on the forum and Im not sure if the number is correct. Hoping someone knew off hand.
Just to throw a wrench in...I think most recommend the Gatorback belt. If you search that you should come up with some info.
Sorry I don't have a part number for you. But wanted you to be aware.
This is my second one of these. The one I replaced looked like new after 30,000 miles, but I did not want to take a chance as it had been on there several years.
HOT TIP... re-thread the new belt on everything including the tensioner, leaving only the alternator pulley out of the chain. Then pull the tensioner from the driver's side (with a ratchet or belt-tensioner installation tool like I use) with your right hand while threading the belt over the alternator with your left hand... slips right on without any additional tools.

I read someplace that the easiest way to re-install the new belt is to start at the alternator and thread the belt everywhere except the water pump, because it take the smooth side of the belt. Then you can easily push the tensioner pulley towards the the centerline of the car with one hand and reach down with the other hand and slide the belt onto the water pump pulley. I tried it and the sysem worked for me. Afterwards I bumped the starter to align the belt on the pulleys and then rechecked the alignment of the belt on the pulleys to make sure everything is correct.
