Default P0133 and P0153 paging Bill!

Just installed the 1 7/8 stainless works headers and 3 inch x pipe with cats.

Car is an 02 z06 with 38k. Installed the factory o2 sensors back in the car, maybe i should have bought new?

Had the car tuned on Tuesday, took it out for a spin this morning have put about 30 miles on it since the tune. Jumped on it and got a cel light.

Current dtc p0133 & p0153

What to do now? Have the sensors gotten lazy and should they be replaced, after all they are ten years old now?

Thanks for any help provided.

These are slow response codes codes, both sides.

The very latest O2 sensors from GM are a different design than before. You might give these a try, I believe they will respond faster. It's not a ton of money to find out.

The stainless works are a rather long header which contributes to the problem.

You could also have those codes simply turned off, they are more of a nuisance than a problem.

Not that it makes a hill of beans difference, I have the XS power headers which are a bit shorter, and also had them coated in an effort to keep the heat in. I have those DTC's active and have had had no issues at all. I'm using the latest AC delco sensors as well.

A photo of the difference:

I was not aware the front sensor codes could be disabled.

Do know Alvin cut the rear codes off. I may try and go to the new style if thats whats suggested.

It doesn't disable the sensor, just the error reporting for slow response. The sensor continues to function normally.

FWIW....you can turn off every error code with HPT......
