Going to learn how to take the intake off using tutorials; I do this so I can replace the oil pressure sender that is bad.
1) Since I am taking the intake off are there any recommended maintainance, replacements, repairs, or services that I can go ahead and do at the same time?
2) Anyone have links to video tutorials? The ones I have are all pictures, which are not bad, but I seem to understand it better when I can see a video.
Just wipe everything down nice.
There is a procedure of placing a bead of RTV silicone sealant around the two knock sensors to keep water out. You don't go completely around - leave the back 1/4 open. I didn't bother and it's been years and miles since without a problem. You could take this time to clean the TB real good!
Good luck!
either vacuum out all the dirt and sand that gets caught on the ridge between the head and the intake or blow it out using compressed air Before you remove the intake manifold.
