I'm sure this would have been covered already, but I can't find the answer to my problem here in the archives.
My '03Z06 flashes 'active handling warming up', then all is good for a while then the dash light appears, and 'service active handling' appears, but I have no codes.
This happens every time I use the car.
Any clues?
Have you checked for codes when the message is being displayed? A number of the codes reset every time you turn the ignition off so have to be read before you do that. From your description it sounds like your wheel alignment may be off. Is your steering wheel offset to one side or the other? AH has to calibrate itself on every engine start so it knows where the steering wheel is set when you are driving straight ahead. If the steering wheel is offset too far (which affects the steering sensor signal) or if you are turning the steering wheel during the calibration period it will have trouble calibrating and you will get the AH Warming Up message. If it decides the steering sensor signal is too far out of the expected range you will then get the Service AH message. Cheapest thing to check first is the codes, then the alignment, followed by diagnosing the steering sensor circuit if the alignment is correct.

Bill
OK, thanks Bill.
Wheel alignment is good, so that's no issue.
I'll check for codes before shutting off next time as it clears when shut down. I didn't realise the car would do that.
I just incorrectly figured the code would still be present but with a "H" after it.
