The shop that installed mine could not say enough good things about them....They were quite impressed with the ease of the install and I experienced 20+HP gain at the rear wheels..
they probably do not fab them in house, but when I got mine 2 years ago, Peter said that they were made from a proprietary jig which doug had delveloped and that they were Not a knock off of someone elses.
anyway, I've had mine on for ~ 23k miles, not a hitch, leak, ping or other prob, they have worn great, and imho they are better made than many others. I've side by sided my car with other long tubes from a few different manufacturers, and drm ones clear the spark plugs the best, imho, and have the best spacing for heat disapation, imho. I've not seen em all, far from it, I'm not knocking anyone elses work, I'm just a happy customer..
I see you're local, next time I'm doin the triple X cruise in you can see em first hand if ya want..
I have DRMs and have been very pleased. The tuner doing my current project was impressed with them, and advised I use them on my present project instead of some custom GM Racing ones he had made.
Sound like the DRM headers are nice pieces. I feel a compulsion to order them....

Well now, I stop by there on Saturday eves once in a while. I live only a mile or two from there. The folks at Carb Con in Kirkland recommended the DRM headers highly. I'm planning to get a baseline dyno test done next Tuesday there.
I run DRM 1 3/4" Long Tubes on my 427. NO problems! The only issue to consider is the collectors. I have a 3" custom exhaust and the DRM collectors are not the optimal "merge collectors" and are 2 1/2". I have such sick amounts of power everywhere that I have not bothered to change the collectors or the headers.
Most people do not need 3" collectors. Also, DRM may have improved this design since my buy 8mos ago.
The only other headers I would consider are the LGM SS ones with merge collectors--awesome pieces, but more $$$.
My DRM headers dynoed 19 rwhp and 19 rwt increases when my car was otherwise stock. I believe DRM has recently improved the collectors as Mako described. Fit and finish are top notch. :yesnod:
I would like to. First, I have to figure out what kind of roll bars I can get in my convertible, and who can install it.
What group do you go to road course events with? Do you go to SIR?
many different groups. go to sir all the time. amongst others. total blast.
there's a local fellow with c5 vert with really nice (removable) roll bar. quite the involved custom installation, but worth it if one has a vert an wants to get on the road course.. he put it in himself, but many use a local shop that easily has skill set for this..
