I am having the unusual problem of the fuel gauge now staying on full (01 Z) and getting a DIC read out of low fuel and I know it is low so am thinking that maybe this Techron can help, I live in Canada run chevron 92 ( should run 94 sounds like) and cannot find Techron. STD OIL advertises it in the fuel, is it avail at places like Autozone as I can whip across the border and get some ? Also an ideas what may have happened, It worked great for 11 years . I put the car away in dec after an extensive drive in the states .Put stabilt in and left 1/2 tank of fuel , heated covered garage. ?

I posted a thread some time ago in both the C5 and C6 sections mentioning that it was on sale at Advance, and someone else posted an additional savings coupon for it where you purchased online, did store pickup, and got a heck of a deal. I think I got 8 20oz bottles for 54 bucks iirc. It was a deep discount.
In any case, a quick search will turn up the thread, and you might find another discount coupon online like the one we used then. Good luck.
Be careful with pricing, WalMart has smaller bottles.
Have used Techron and Seafoam to remove sulphur deposits from sending units. Add a can of Seafoam, fill the tank and drive it till you are almost empty. I then just use a regular tank of gas. Then add Seafoam again and fill the tank.
Either one (but not in combination) seems to remove the deposits and restore operation of the fuel gauge.
Make sure to get the Fuel System cleaner NOT the injector cleaner. It's a different formulation and is labeled to specifically address the sticky fuel sender issues.

Thanks to all, appears we are back to normal but was quite a funny experience. I put in 2 cans techron, filled car with 94 chevron and went for a ride, after a couple of miles Low Range on the read out changed to 40 and slowly as we drove for 30 miles went up ending at around 200. Had lunch and headed home and the read out on starting was 130 and as we headed home the fuel gauge final unpegged it self and started to fall then the readout started up again eventually getting to 220 and would go up a couple of miles and down jumping around as I threw the car around a bit. When we got home the gauge was at 5/8 and the readout was 217 , a little low but getting there. Gonna put another can in tomorrow and if no rain go for another ride.
Thanks for all the help. Chevron 94 from now on.
