Default FAST injectors

Im about to pull the trigger on a set of FAST 36lb injectors. Are there any adapters needed, or do the stock connectors clip on?

If there are connectors or harness adapters etc required, please provide the part number(s)

It a 99 model LS1. And before anyone asks, yes, I do need them. I am at 90% duty cycle according to my last dyno tune and can do no further mods without them.

That must one hell of a car. With a full head and cam and FAST and 450 rwhp my 30lbs injectors are only at 85% at redline.

Its not yet, but my end goal will be right around 450whp N/A, and a 150 shot of juice on top of that. To be at 90% with just bolt on's (and not even long tube headers) is pretty crazy IMO. According to FAST's chart, these injectors will be good for the power lever I am set to achieve.

What injectors did you go with?

• Flows 36 lb/hr (378cc/min) at 43.5 psi

Keep that in mind when tuning.

I believe the injector pigtails will be the same---the only problem is that most aftermarket LS injectors are somewhat taller and it becomes difficult to get the STOCK rails installed onto them---If you haven't purchased the FAST ones yet there is a company that will re-work your stock injectors to flow whatever you want--And much cheaper too and no fitment issues---
PS: my modded 98 uses the STOCK 28# injectors at apprx 400 RWHP---My duty cycles will spike to 92% breifly at the end of a 1/4 mi. run---No problems ---as long as you give them some time to cool off in between runs--It only hits 92 DC in 3rd gear (A4) way up around 5200 RPM @ 115 MPH

damn... that answers a question I was wondering about. I guess I'll be ordering injectors now

I've seen 130+ mph at the ends of straights lap after lap on some road courses. Being as I live in the southeast where it's slightly cooler than the surface of the sun, I'd better upgrade.

Do the red tops fit well? Or do they need connector modification? And do they fit the stock rail well?
I kinda wanted to stay FAST brand to go with my FAST92 intake, but it really doesnt matter I guess...

I hear about the ford red tops allot, but Im not sure allot of people really use them. If someone can provide the correct part number I can do some research.

If you run them, you have to put a blue oval on the sides of the car.....

I have the LS2 which are 33lb/hr @ 58psi. They fit the fast 102 and ls2 rails. They do require the connector adapter. Also, you can get real injector data. I hit just shy of 90% duty cycle with my mods.

I am seeing that they are no longer sold and must be bought used from someone. From what I understand, Ford's 30lb injectors are now a skinny injector (all orange) instead of a fat body with red tops. They run over $400 a set. I can do the FAST 36's for $289 on Amazon.

So how much is too low of a duty cycle? Doing the math on these injectors, I may be way down around 60-70% while they are installed before other mods.. Is that a bad thing?
