Single vs 3 Rib
What are the internal differences between 3:42 single rib diff and a 3:42 3 rib diff. I think I read somewhere that the Z06 diff's had shot-peened gears but not sure about that. Just curious about the true differences as I would probably never put my 99 FRC's diff at risk.

Other than the Z06 shot peened gears (gears aren't the weak link anyway) I don't believe there are any internal differences.
3 ribs were not limited to the Z06 either, I believe all 01 on had them.
The weak links are the output shafts and the posi pre-load (bellville) springs. These can be upgraded with C6 Z06 parts.
