Alright Gawd Dammit.....why can't anything be easy....or at least not painfully difficult :smash:
I have the Goodridge S/S Braided brake lines and for the life of me, cannot re-install the retaining clip holding the end of the brake line to the mounting bracket. The bracket then mounts to the chasis frame. The other end leads to the caliper.
Can anyone who has changed out their brake lines offer some advice or asistance in re-sinatlling the retaining clip....
Re: Question About Installing S/S Brake Lines?! (Mean Green 2000)
Why don't you take a good look at one before removing the clip, and put it back the way is was. :) As I remember, the flexable brake line comes down from the top of the bracket you mention, through the hole and the clip goes through a slot at the end of the flexable line holding it securily to the bracket. The chassis solid brake line can then be positioned and screwed by hand (to get it started) into the end of the flexable line, before tightening.
When I did mine I reused the old clips that were there. Hope this helps.

I removed the brackets that the lines are clipped to. Makes it a heck of a lot easier to fool with the clamp on the bench and only takes a minute to remove and replace the bracket. :yesnod:
