Default Cheapest build route LQ9 block ??

UPDATE: ok so what transfers from the ls1 to the 6.0 ? I mean like cam, heads, accessory pullies, ls6 intake, fuel rails all the coonections from the pcm, tranny, torque tube ect ect ??????

What do yo guys think? Not sure what LQ9's are the best but seems the best route since you can transfer most of the stuff from an ls1 to it?

A lot of F/I guys running LQ9's (including myself). They're just so darn cheap and most everything from an LS1 bolts onto it.

Of course they weight quite a bit more than an aluminum LSx, but they're pretty durable.

80lbs heavier, but with LQ9's running 500-1200 for a longblock...........it's by far the best way to make 450-500whp without force feeding.

LS3 heads/intake w/ a nice cam should net you 450plus for about $2-3k

I don't have a set of OEM LS2 and LQ9 pistons in front of me to verify, but do some research on the 2005up LQ9 vs LS2 pistons/rods/crank.

Subscribed. I read this article and starting wanting to get looking for one. Just have it and slowly get it ready. Once it's good, swap it in my C5 and use my LS1 in my 46' Harvester.
