If your transmission pan has a depression bubble on the bottom side, use the AC Delco TF306 filter. The filter pick-up tube length, on the TF306, is designed to reach to the bottom of that depression bubble in the pan.

Most C5's have the above mentioned pan, although a few early C5's came with a flat bottom pan and a shorter filter.

I posted the same question a few weeks ago & found the same answer. I noticed some sites also included the Z06 in the list for the filter application.
I ordered this one ACDelco 24208574 Automatic Transmission Filter Kit. It matched what I took out when I serviced it.

I seem to remember your question too.

There's a link in the thread below for checking the fluid level, which may be helpful to Plasticman after his fluid and filter change.

Thanks for the link, and I found a deep bubble depression on my 2003 pan.

However, now I am confused again:

You said: If your transmission pan has a depression bubble on the bottom side, use the AC Delco TF306 filter.

However C5FORFUN2 said he used the other filter (I ordered this one ACDelco 24208574), and in the other thread stated that he had the bubble depression pan..................

And of course, while looking at the trans pan, found a good amount of oil film (plus some actual oil) at the bottom of one of the rear magnetic ride shocks...........ca-ching!

Thanks again,
Plasticman

I used the TF306 and it doesn't fit. I have the pan with a bubble in the bottom. The pan does not set flush to the trans. It first appeared to be the pickup tube but after using some clay for reference that was not the culprit. It appears that it is just to big although I don't know how as it looks almost the same as the filter that came out which does not have a pickup tube. Go figure this one?

Here's a shot of my pan.
Dealer sold me the 24208574 Filter Kit.
Matched what came out.
