NEED ADVICE: 97 C5 front passenger T/S does not work
Alright, i just purchased my 97 C5 last week and owner did tell me that the passenger T/S did not work. So ive been doing my reserch but stil could not fin an exact answer on what is the issue. So the light turns on while i have them on as parking lights. But do not work as DRL/TS's.
Ive replaced all exterior bulbs with new ones.
i found this topic that was identical to whats happening with mine:

i tried doing what others recommended on that same post and no luck.
after swapping out Relays 38 and 40, my passenger DRL does not turn on at all. all the other lightss work except front passenger DRL/TS
any advice will be highly appreciated. Ill be going to Autozone today(3/2/13) to pick up a can of Contact cleaner hopefully that will help out.
I will keep posting updates if i have any back-ups or progress.

I'm betting the problem is in the harness that connects the right and left DL. this is a short harness fastened to the front fascia from left to right.
With a multi meter you would not have to change every bulb. I would never replace a bulb without testing it first. Why would you change every bulb? why would you not check each socket to see if it is getting power. This is just basic automotive electrical track down. You just have to follow the trail back. This could also be a multi- switch failure.. This problem may be slightly above your pay grade. I mean no disrespect but when someone replaces good bulbs, with good bulbs, that's the first sign that they are in over their head.
